Billing and Fees

Consultation Fees

We would like to inform you that, effective 1 November 2025, the Government has increased bulk-billing incentives. Unfortunately, these payments still do not cover the full cost of providing high-quality care at this practice.

We are committed to ensuring you and your family receive the best possible care. To continue offering the time, attention and services you deserve, we charge a fee for most consultations.

Our friendly reception team can provide further information regarding consultation fees and Medicare rebates.

Kadina Medical expects payment in full on the day of your appointment. We do not routinely bulk bill.

Medicare Refunds

Medicare refunds are available via the following methods:

Easyclaim – The Medicare rebate amount can be deposited instantly into a cheque or savings account using an EFTPOS card. (Payments can be made by any method; however, refunds cannot be issued to a credit card.)

Registered Account – The Medicare rebate amount can be deposited directly into the patient’s nominated bank account. Bank details must be registered with Medicare.

Please note: Some Medicare item numbers do not allow Easyclaim if the claim requires further assessment by Medicare.

Please present your Medicare card and any Concession cards when attending your appointment.

Bulk Billing Exceptions

The following exceptions apply where patients may be bulk billed. In these cases, the GP accepts the Medicare rebate as full payment for the service:

  • Children under 5 years of age for standard consultations

  • DVA Gold Card holders for all services (DVA White Card holders will be charged in accordance with their concession eligibility, which is condition-specific)

  • Patients attending preventative health care services related to chronic conditions, such as Chronic Disease Care Plans and Reviews
