Book an Appointment Online

For Emergencies:

Ring Triple Zero (000)

If you have an urgent medical problem

If your appointment is urgent please ring as soon as possible to make a booking with a doctor. If all appointments are full your call will be transferred to a nurse to triage and assess when you need to be seen. It is essential to let the receptionist know if you problem is urgent, for example if you have chest pain, a large cut or a child with a fever. All emergencies will be seen immediately.

 DOCTOR OF CHOICE

We will always try to accommodate patients to see the doctor of their choice on a day and a time that is suitable. Please let us know who you would prefer to see when you call to make an appointment.

Sometimes you may find that you fall ill and you need to see someone that day, on these occasions it may not be possible to see the doctor of your choice.

There is an ongoing shortage of Rural GPs which KMA is also experiencing.

Scripts without consults cannot be guaranteed as often GPs are required to complete a patient health check prior to prescribing. Script requests completed by the GP will incur a private fee.

GPs are not at liberty to back date specialist referral letters.

Our reception team are not always able to meet patient requests for appointments. Sometimes doctors are completely booked and cannot physically provide additional medical consults to anyone else without putting their own health care at risk.

The responsibility of reception and nurses is to provide patient care and also protect the doctor and their working environment.

Inappropriate behaviour and abuse towards doctors and staff will not be tolerated and may result in termination of therapeutic relationship.

To assist with appointment needs, we encourage all patients to book their regular appointments in advance to manage script renewals, chronic health conditions and regular referrals.
